Beer for your Valentine - Sierra Nevade Sidecar Orange Pale AleCan you believe Valentine’s Day is next week? If you ask me… beer is the perfect gift for this holiday!

I have a lot of people ask me for suggestions of what brands of particular beers to buy at Coborn’s Liquor. And if you are buying for a gift you may not know what brand the gift-receiver loves but you may know what type they enjoy. So I have come up with a list of popular beer types and my suggestions for brands and flavors you should try.

Pale Ale

If your Valentine enjoys a Pale Ale, you should pick up Sierra Nevada’s new Sidecar Orange Pale Ale. It’s a Pale Ale with a twist. This hoppy Pale Ale is brewed with Cascade, Equinox and Mandarina hops with a hint of orange peel that adds a zesty pop of bright orange flavor.

My husband and I had the pleasure celebrating one of my husband’s high school friend’s weddings this past Friday. I am typically in charge of the gift, which is fine with me because I absolutely love gift giving. We could go with money, which is always appreciated, but I wanted to do something a bit different… of course!

Summer is finally here! With summer comes camping, picnicking and getting together with friends and family. We sit around, play games, visit, eat and drink. In comes the problem. Where do you set your Pepsi? So the crafter in me came up with a solution, the Pepsi DIY Drink Holder.

Pepsi DIY Drink Holder - www.cobornsblog.com

Wrapped in patriotic duct tape for the 4th, holding my Pepsi (which is also Red, White and Blue, I can be so festive)! Feel free to buy a few different colors and patterns of duct tape and that way each person in your family knows which one is theirs.

I used Progresso soup cans since they are nice and wide. They can hold a 12 oz. can, 12 oz. bottle and even my 20 oz. bottles of Pepsi.

Pepsi DIY Drink Holders fit 12 Oz. Cans, 12 Oz. Bottles & 20 Oz. Bottles - www.cobornsblog.com

They are pretty simple to make! Step by step instructions below.
