Weekly Ad Recipe – Grilled Italian Bratwurst

Weekly Ad Recipe - Grilled Italian Bratwurst

I always throw brats on the grill when I need a quick meal, but this time I wanted to do something different and spice it up a little. So, I made a tomato relish that you can put on the brats before serving them. They were great! I love the mustard and oregano flavoring added to the brats and topping it off with the tomato relish made this recipe a winner. Enjoy…I did!

Grilled Italian Bratwurst
Serves: 6
Tomato Relish
  • 2 Cups Tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 T. Red wine vinegar
  • ¼ tsp. Dried Oregano Leaves
  • ¼ Cup Dijon Mustard
  • ½ tsp. Dried Oregano Leaves
  • 6 Fresh Italian Flavored Bratwurst
  • 6 Bratwurst Buns, split
  1. Heat gas or charcoal grill.
  2. In small bowl, mix relish ingredients; cover and refrigerate until serving.
  3. In another small bowl, mix mustard and oregano; set aside.
  4. Place sausages on grill over medium heat.
  5. Cover grill; cook 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. Continue grilling 8 to 10 minutes longer, and brushing occasionally with mustard mixture, until internal temperature of bratwurst reaches 170 degrees.
  7. Discard any remaining mustard mixture.
  8. Serve bratwurst on buns with relish.

Weekly Ad Recipe – Grilled Reuben Brats - Grilled Reuben Brats

These brats are so yummy!  This is a great recipe for those outdoor cookouts at the lake or camping. Serve with a side of your favorite chips and fresh fruit. Enjoy…I did!

Grilled Reuben Brats
Serves: 4
  • 12 Oz. Can Of Beer Or Nonalcoholic Beer
  • 4 Fresh Bratwurst Links
  • 2 T. Thousand Island Dressing
  • 4 Rye Or Whole Wheat Bratwurst Buns, split
  • ½ Cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • 1 Cup Sauerkraut, drained, heated if desired
  1. Heat gas or charcoal grill.
  2. In 2 quart saucepan, heat beer to boiling.
  3. Add bratwurst, reduce heat to low.
  4. Cover; simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Drain bratwurst.
  6. Place on grill over medium heat.
  7. Cover grill; cook 5-10 minutes, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  8. Spread dressing on cut sides of buns.
  9. Place bratwurst in buns; top with cheese and sauerkraut.
Suggested Beer Pairing: Third Street Three Way Pale Ale
