Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Tailgating before the big game is a long standing tradition for many of us. A trip to the stadium with family and friends isn’t complete without the grills, beanbag toss, cold drinks and of course, amazing food!

Classic tailgating food like hot dogs, chili and potato salad are delicious and always a crowd pleaser. But, why not kick it up a notch and add a few twists to the tailgate menu?  Start things off with an out-of-this-world South of the Border chip dip that tastes great and can easily be made ahead of time. Make sure to have plenty of tortilla chips on hand and include a jar of salsa as well.

How does a Hamburger with the Blues sound? It’s a juicy hamburger made with blue cheese and scallions that is amazing hot off the grill. This burger goes perfect with a side of grilled corn - only 4 ingredients, so simple and delicious. For your less adventurous fans, bring along a few standard burgers as well with a variety of fun toppings – onions, jalapenos, olives, relish, zesty mayo and of course, ketchup & mustard.

And for dessert, keep it simple with an easy-to-make Chocolate Caramel Nut Mix or whip up a batch of Chocolate Chunk Cookies. You can even skip the baking and bring along a wide variety of fun candy to make a candy bar.

Finally, to make your next trip to the stadium a success, remember these quick tips:

  • Make a list of all items you need to bring to the stadium
  • Pack food in disposable containers for easy clean-up
  • Dress in your team colors to show team spirit
  • Arrive 2-3 hours before game time to get a great space
  • Decorate your space with team paraphernalia
  • Meet your tailgating neighbors
  • Don’t forget the garbage bags for clean-up
