Fourth of July Treats

When the temperatures heat up – ice cold treats are the perfect dessert. They can often be made ahead of time, too, saving you time when you’re busy getting ready for a party. Many of these recipes can also be doubled or tripled if you’re hosting a crowd.  These are some of the best frozen desserts for summer and for the Fourth of July – we hope you love them!

Watermelon Sorbet is icy cold and simple to make. This recipe just requires some stirring after a bit of freezer time and then a whir in the blender to create a sweet, slushy treat that kids and adults will love.

If you want to pay homage to the Fourth of July – create a dessert that’s red, white and blue! This version of ice cream cake takes on the colors of the flag thanks to blueberries, strawberry sorbet and vanilla ice cream.

Take advantage of the delicious, fresh berries at Coborn’s and CobornsDelivers with Berry Frozen Yogurt. The best part of this easy frozen yogurt recipe? You don’t need an ice cream maker to make it! Top with fresh berries, some whipped cream and some fresh mint for a lovely but simple dessert that’s incredibly refreshing.

We love recipes that are quick and easy to save time when entertaining and this Frozen Lemonade Pie fits that criteria perfectly. Make your own crust or use a ready made graham cracker crust, create a filling with frozen lemonade concentrate and let it hang out in the freezer overnight and you have dessert for the Fourth of July made!
